Hurricane Harvey - A WAKE OF CHANGE IN TEXAS!
But after checking the pictures and watching the videos of the areas affected, something struck me from within,
something that a lot may not be thinking about now...it is the word "VANITY" I saw beautiful houses covered with water, exotic cars submerged under water,and even people that the only thing they could pick to escape for their dear life is just a bag or just one dog. Folks I want you to understand a lot of them didn't plan for this, they were not expecting the magnitude of the occurrence, some may just bought their house,cars and other properties just a day before and see what just happened!
Everything we have is not really ours, even our lives. We wake up daily thinking of how to make our daily bread, amass wealth and live that life as if we own it in the first place. We need to start thinking beyond now, beyond the physical and where our eternity will be spent.
At the end of the day, we need to pursue what really matters which is our relationship with GOD, how we relate with people, how we can affect their lives positively and make the world a better place, living a selfless life and working out our purpose in life!
A lot of people have been displaced in Texas right now, some have a lot of possessions that have spoilt already now, some are going to start life all over again, some have properties but they are where they are getting relief right now, some have already passed away...REMEMBER none of them wished for this event or planned for it in anyway...the major thing on their mind right now is first, how to survive.
Aspire to pursue only what matters, the life we live is not really ours!
May the gentle souls that have passed away in the cause of this occurrence rest in perfect peace, May the Lord provide more for those that have lost their possessions and may God keep all of us remaining in the world right now to make it a better place!
